About

My Story
I wanted to join the Air Force to fly jets when I was a kid. But before I could join, my vision became nearsighted. The Air Force wasn't accepting recruits for pilots that had corrected vision at that time, so my dream of flying was put on hold. I started working in various industries, and many years later while sitting at my desk at work one day, I decided it was time to pursue my dream of being a pilot. I started flight training and now I get to teach people to fly airplanes. Throughout my career I learned that people matter more than anything else. Everyone should be treated as individuals and as well as you would like to be treated. The most rewarding thing for me over the years has been watching and helping people grow and learn. Now I get to do that in airplane, which has been so amazing to combine the two things I love the most: flying and helping people!

What is Big 3 Aviation?
According to the best instructor I ever had, the "Big 3" are: Stick & Rudder Skills, Wind Consciousness, and Situational Awareness. If you are taught to do those three things well, it makes your job as a pilot much easier and much safer. So that's what we stress at Big 3 Aviation.
Mission Statement:
To create safe and competent pilots through high-quality ground and flight instruction by treating people well and as individuals, while doing it at a lower cost than the large flight schools.
